Welcome to Government Pension Fund

The Fund's 25-member tripartite board of directors comprises twelve representatives from employees, nine ex-officio members representing the employer, three experts and the Secretary General who is the Fund's Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer. Members democratically elect the member representatives from each of the member category. The three experts chosen from among leaders in the fields of legal, investment and finance provide the welcome check and balance. By law, the Permanent Secretary of Finance, the highest-ranking civil service position within the Finance Ministry, is the chairman of the Board.

The Board is vested with the power to formulate fund administration and investment policies, and to ensure that the Fund is managed effectively and prudently in full compliance with the Act and all applicable laws for the exclusive benefits of the members.
