Proxy Voting in Shareholders’ Meetings

GPF puts an emphasis on its active ownership role, specifically to closely monitor the businesses in which the GPF invests. One of the key roles as an owner is to vote in the shareholders’ meetings, since it is one of the channels to express opinions and monitor the businesses to operate appropriately, all of which are mechanisms to create checks and balances within the businesses.

  • Domestic Investment: GPF is represented in every shareholders’ meetings of the businesses in which GPF invests and votes according to the Proxy Voting Guidelines that the GPF has set forth according to the Corporate Governance Policy.
  • Foreign Investment: GPF gives a proxy to external fund managers to vote in compliance with GPF’s guidelines, which aligns with the Corporate Governance Policy.
